Keep it in the Loop!

According to a study in 2014, organic materials are the largest component of solid waste generated in the United States, with food and yard waste in particular comprising nearly 30% of this total. This number has only gone up with the more recent limitations imposed on post-consumer recyclables. Decomposition of organic waste in a landfill generates a surprising amount of greenhouse gasses, and that is before factoring in the environmental impact of transporting solid waste from our collection facilities to the closest regional landfill in Oregon.

At Clearwater Composting, we collect organic waste, process it in accordance with the most up-to-date regulations, and use the processed material to create a number of products for both commercial and at-home use.

From the Earth, back to the Earth, and so the cycle continues.
